Google introduces Chromecast, a new media-streaming device to stream media from any device to your HDTV.

Chromecast is just 2 inches in length, so it just disappears behind the TV. All you have to do is just plug it in your HDTV and start playing media on HDTV from your device connected to your home network. The device can be your smartphone/tablet running Android or iOS, laptop (Windows/Mac) with Chrome browser or Chromebook.

Chromecast works with variety of operating systems - Android, iOS, Chrome on Windows, Chrome on Mac & Chrome OS.

You can stream any YouTube video from your device, any music from Google Play, any movie from Google Play or Netflix and even web pages from Google Chrome browser.

Everything about the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

Samsung has come up with the Galaxy S4 Mini, a smaller yet powerful alternative to the flagship Galaxy S4. As expected, it doesn't quite have superior specs of its big brother, but it doesn't fall far behind in terms of performance and software features. Let us take a look at the features and specs of this handset in detail.

The S4 Mini takes its design cues from the Galaxy S4. It has a polycarbonate casing which has a compact profile of 124.6 x 61.3 x 8.9 mm, making it extremely comfortable to hold and handle with ease. Users won't have any trouble carrying the phone around or holding it for long durations in their hands as it weighs only 107 grams. The back panel has a glossy finish which looks gorgeous and stylish but is prone to fingerprints. Overall, the handset has a nice, solid feel to it and at the same time excels in the looks department.

The smartphone comes with a 4.3" Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display having a resolution of 540 X 960 pixels and multi-touch abilities. Like all Samsung phones, the screen is top-notch thanks to its sharp image quality and infinite contrast. Along with this, there is an Adapt Display feature which enables the phone to automatically adjust the display settings to provide the best viewing experience at all times.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini's rear-facing 8 megapixel camera outputs photos of up to a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels and shoots videos of full HD 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. Furthermore, there are impressive features in the camera interface like Smile Shot, Face Detection, Multiple Resolutions, White Balance, touch Focus, Geo-tagging, HDR Mode, Beauty Shot, Best Face, Panorama mode and much more. Completing the package is a 1.9 megapixel sensor at the front which allows users to take impressive self-shots and video calls.

Processing Power

Under its hood, the phone has a fast 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and 2 GB of RAM (LTE version) which can handle most tasks and applications with ease. The internal package is completed by an Adreno 320 GPU, 1900 mAh battery and 8 GB of internal storage space. Since the onboard memory is quite less by today's standard, Samsung has included a microSD card slot which supports cards of up to 64 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean alongside Samsung's TouchWiz user interface. Along with the stock Android features, there are innovative additions like Quick Glance, Smart Stay, Air View, Direct Call and Smart Rotation. More functionality is provided in the form of applications such as S Voice, S Translator, S Health, TripAdvisor, Group Play and much more.

The phone's Li-Ion 1900 mAh battery is accessible and can be replaced by removing the back panel. Unfortunately, Samsung has not revealed any official data as far as the battery times are concerned but it is expected to deliver a full day performance on a single charge.
